Cuts Off Water Accidently Sometimes
I've installed these auto-cutoff leak prevention hoses on several sinks in my house. I have found they will sometimes accidently activate and cutoff the water supply to the faucet (even though there is no leak in the hose). The only way to reset the device and restore water flow is to turn off the water supply valve under the sink (i.e., the supply valve to which the FloodSafe hose is connected), disconnect the hose from the supply valve, open the faucet (a small amount of water still trapped in the hose will drain out), reconnect the hose, and with the faucet still open SLOWLY open the supply valve (it might also work if you instead have the faucet closed, slowly open the supply valve and then slowly open the faucet). The trick is not to abruptly apply water pressure to the hose, otherwise the FloodSafe device will cutoff again.
